Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoo - Bungendore

I chanced on a flock of these large cockatoos just south of Lake George, as they were flying to eat pine cones.

These are very large birds - so large that they seem to have difficulty flying. Slow and erratic when in the air, they can look like a flight of bombers when gliding in formation.
