Molonglo High Plains - Adult - October 2014

Extremely shy, but with a beautiful bell-like call.  These forage in small bands in open paddocks sometimes with other parrot species - yesterday, SE Australia.

These are sometimes called grass parrots - here enjoying seeds from a dandelion.
